Initial eligibility information
The application asks whether you are a medical student or graduate, your school and graduation timing, your preferred specialty, and your requested duration. Students who have not graduated can still inquire.
Start with your academic status and preferences. Documentation is reviewed as the application progresses, and exact requirements may vary by placement.

Application guidance lists a passport, recent photo, academic proof, immunization records, U.S. health insurance, HIPAA training, and infection control training. If you have a USMLE score report, it is optional but recommended.
Visa or proof of a visa application and other documentation may be checked before an observership begins. Timing and exact criteria should be confirmed for the proposed placement; requirements are not necessarily identical everywhere.
Graduates may be asked for a medical school graduation certificate. Current students may instead provide a letter from their Dean or Principal stating the expected graduation month and year.
Discuss your circumstances with the team and consult the relevant official guidance. A placement inquiry does not determine visa eligibility.
